MG Yoshiki Adachi

Defense and Military Attaché Embassy of Japan

Major General Adachi is currently serving as Defense and Military Attache at the Embassy of Japan in Washington D.C. since July 2017.

 

MG Adachi graduated from National Defense Academy and entered Japan Ground Self-Defense Force in 1992. He started his military career as Air Defense Artillery officer. His assignments include serving as Firing Platoon Leader, 308th ADA Battery, 2nd ADA Group, Eastern Army, 1992-1997, Assistant S3, 2nd ADA Group, 1998-2000, Ground Staff Office Liaison Officer to U.S. Army Japan HQ at Camp Zama, 2002-2003, Senior Staff Officer Logistics (SSO LOG), Logistics Department, U.N. Disengagement Force (UNDOF) HQ at Golan Heights, 2004-2005, Manager, Aircraft Business Department, Aerospace Systems Division, Mitsui & Co., Ltd (Japanese Private Company) 2005-2006, Bilateral Operations Section, 1st Operations Division, Operations Department, Joint Staff, 2006-2008, Policy & Programs Section, Policy & Programs Division, Policy & Programs Department, Ground Staff Office, 2008-2011, Chief, Logistics Plans and Operations Section, Logistics Management Division, Logistics Department, Ground Staff Office, 2012-2014, Commanding Officer, 7th Air Defense Artillery Group, 2nd Antiaircraft Artillery Brigade, Western Army, 2014-2015, Cabinet Counsellor (Senior Self-Defense Officer), National Security Secretariat, Cabinet Secretariat, 2015-2017
