Brig Gen (R) Kenneth "Kenn" Todorov

Brig. Gen. Kenneth E. Todorov served as the Deputy Director of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Office of the Secretary of Defense, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.  In this role, General Todorov advised the Director, MDA, in the responsibility for the fielding of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) and provides management oversight of MDA support to BMDS operational programs.  General Todorov supported the development and implementation BMDS policy, capabilities, priorities, resources, and operational interface with Services, Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, and Allies. In the performance of these responsibilities, General Todorov ensured MDA was responsive to Warfighter needs to deliver BMDS capabilities as soon as practical, defined Agency policy, requirements, goals, and objectives, and set priorities, assigned responsibilities, and managed organizational resources necessary to achieve Agency objectives.

General Todorov’s previous assignments include:  Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense Organization (JIAMDO), J-8, Joint Staff; Deputy Director of Operations, Headquarters U.S. Northern Command; Director, Standing Joint Force Headquarters, U.S. Northern Command; Executive Assistant to the Commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command; Commander, 23rd Wing, 9th Air Force; Vice Commander, 23rd Wing, 9th Air Force; Director of Staff, 347th Rescue Wing; Squadron Commander, Detachment 3, Air Force Flight Test Center; Squadron Operations Officer, Detachment 3, Air Force Flight Test Center; and Operations Officer, Current Readiness and Capabilities, Operations Directorate (J3), Joint Staff.

General Todorov graduated from Siena College in New York in 1985 and was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a command pilot with more than 3,800 flight hours. He has held a number of flying and staff positions, and has commanded at the squadron and wing levels. Additionally, General Todorov led the initial Coalition Air Force Transition Team into Iraq to assess the capabilities and requirements for all special operations and rotary wing assets of the Iraqi Air Force.
